Float Building and Dance Practice (12/06/09 – 13/06/09)
Our first “official” float building session started with a 2D1N session. Friday was spend continuing the sundial. Quite a few people came that night, the regulars plus Bell, Huiyun, Yi Jia and special appearance from Melvin in Shanghai. Bell designed the sundial top with an SoC design. Went to Fong Seng for supper that night and slept at around 5am. Was a fun night!
The next morning, the dancers arrived for dance practice. More people joined this session as it was a Saturday. The people who were there for the previous session are beginning to master the moves while the new comers are learning fast. Meanwhile the float building team started working on setting up the frame for the clock tower.
We are testing a new feature where a webcam will be installed in TR15, taking pictures every 15 minutes and publishing it online, Live!. Stay tuned…

Float Building (10/06/09)
At last we have started building the actual float. Spend most of today shifting the remaining stores into TR15 and brining the carpet up to the roof to sun it. After dinner we started to work on the sundial. A small and relatively easy to start with component. But still, didn’t manage to complete the structure at the end of the day, yet to add the curvy shape to the body. Next time will be complete sundial structure and start on the clock tower. Not much pics for today, busy…

Float Planning (20/05/09)
Today the people who gone to Japan are back, hope they didn’t bring any H5N1 back. Had a small meeting in the afternoon then we continued on the prototype. Improved on a few things like stairs and cogwheels and added new items and our mascot! We also did some design for some structure. I guess the full view of the float is somewhat near there already, left the center clock tower need to do a proper one.
