Float Planning (20/05/09)
Today the people who gone to Japan are back, hope they didn’t bring any H5N1 back. Had a small meeting in the afternoon then we continued on the prototype. Improved on a few things like stairs and cogwheels and added new items and our mascot! We also did some design for some structure. I guess the full view of the float is somewhat near there already, left the center clock tower need to do a proper one.

First RnF meeting after exam
The idea of a float blog was first suggested by Kun (one of the RnF director). Last year’s The RnF blog was maintained mostly by Pauline, but this year, we hope to get contributions from various members of the float team.
Let me (Melvin) start the ball rolling by describing what we have accomplished for today’s meeting.
The agenda for today is to complete some of the admin work, such as filling in the Risk Assessment Form, and continue to refine the design of the float. The picture above shows Eng Chye (Float head) and Kun writing the admin documents in the Computing Club Room (located at the top of the staircase leading from COM1 to the Biz Canteen). At the same time, Yi Jia, Lulu, and Huiyun, used color pencils to add test our various color schemes on the initial sketch of the float design by Huiyun.
